Pork Pie

In a book I’m reading, there’s mention of British pork pies. I’ve never had one and I don’t ever remember seeing one on a menu here in Chicago. Seems really regional. And I can’t tell by the description and photo if I’d like it or not.
As with most dishes, someone has made a huge version of it.
