No Country For Old Men

June 25, 2007 · 1 Comment

"Working from his original story, Wong wrote the script with the crime writer Lawrence Block."

What? Lawrence Block and Wong Kar-Wai? Weird. I wonder how that cultural mash-up happened. Also, on the same site, a rave review of the Coen brothers’ "No Country For Old Men." I want to read that but I also want to see the movie. Yet I know doing either one of those things will blunt the enjoyment I get from the other. What to do? I’d usually pick the book but what if it’s a really good Coen brothers movie? Maybe I’ll read the book while watching the movie? Has anyone done that?

Omnivore’s Dilemma was laying in front of me so I picked it up and read the chapter on the ethics of eating animals and I ended up a vegan for a day. I’m highly suggestible. Now I’m reading http://icanhascheezburger.com/ and will be talking in LOL speak all day. K bye.
