The Bacon Salt guys posted in their blog that they gave some of their product (vegetarian seasonings that make things taste like bacon) to Seattle’s Top Pot Doughnuts, who in turn, made some bacon flavored donuts. Hmm, two things I’ve wanted to taste getting together to make a third thing I want to taste.

Next halloween, if you need a last minute costume fast, just do something like this classic ghost costume.
But instead of two eye holes, just cut out one bigger hole in the middle of the face instead and go as “ghostse”. Ok, I promise not bring up anything else like this for awhile. I’m going to watch All Your Base Belong To Us videos now.

I like this “don’t let anything bad happen” stamp sold at Something’s Hiding In Here’s Etsy store.

So you own a Mac but not being a programmer or a command-line nerd, you probably have not even opened up the OSX terminal app. You don’t know Unix so why would you, really? I understand. But did you know about the “say” command? Anything you type in the terminal after the word “say” will be read out loud by your computer. Type in (leave out the quotation marks) “say andrew is awesome” and hit the return key. Nice, right? And such a good opportunity to annoy anyone in earshot. Jon sent me this one:
say -v Cellos Batman, Batman, na na na na na na na na na na, batman
The “-v” option chooses the “Cellos” voice which is especially good for the batman song. Hey, now you know Unix! Go update your resume.
p.s. the Terminal app also has a Tetris easter egg hidden in it.

Remember the Dumbledore’s Army t-shirt I made? I totally forgot about it till I got email this weekend saying I sold a few of them. So look for them in the wild! (I can’t believe I wrote that last sentence. I will leave it so I can remind myself to edit before I post.)

I’m listening to the radio and PRI’s Studio 360’s profile of “Superman” in their American Icons series is on right now. Nothing ground breaking or new for most of you fanboys and comic book nerds, but nice Sunday afternoon listening with an excellent choice of interviews. I think I’ll add them to my podcast list.
