Ha, I like how the writer in this New York Times article on Korean food tells the reader to Google something instead of explaining what it is. Like the writer is saying, I don’t have time to explain this to you and really you should know already. I think this marks a huge moment where blogging style sneaks into formal Journalism.
It is here that many New Yorkers and visitors first taste kimchi (spicy fermented vegetables), bulgogi (thinly sliced marinated beef) and bi bim bop (Google it), and here that Koreans and Korean-Americans gather for parties and social events.

Look! Harris, one of my favorite characters from the TV show Freaks and Geeks, does video game reviews for Vice Magazine. He looks the same. I’ve been watching Freaks and Geeks on DVD this month and it’s my new favorite thing. Holds up so well. The only bad part is how mad I get thinking about it being canceled after one season. Nerd rage!

I was looking at someone’s photo of Scrapple and ended up reading about “Livermush”, which some people consider to be “more tolerable”.
When you learn what goes into livermush, it doesn’t get any better, since it’s a mixture of pig liver (at least 30 percent, by law), head parts, and cornmeal. Funny, then, how people in central North Carolina love it so. Funny how Shelby, N.C., mayor Ted Alexander has proclaimed it “the world’s most perfect food.” Funny how that same town hosts something called the Livermush Expo, which draws thousands every year.

Pam says Fastlane is coming out on DVD! Seriously, this was one of the hardest shows to sell to friends. Hard eye rolling when you mention it. Cheesy show? Totally. But fun? YES.
